What you need to know:
From organizing, negotiating with the district, drafting policies, funding, hiring staff and enrolling students, establishing a charter school requires knowledge of both
state and federal laws and regulations as well as experience in governance and administration. Annual reporting to the local school district, the Oregon Department of Education, the IRS and other agencies is also critical. Experienced legal advice will help to ensure a solid foundation and trouble-free operations.
